Painful contractions at 32 weeks
Had a sleepless night last night due to contractions which came with menstrual like cramps below the belly. Its early afternoon now and belly is still contracting with pain every 10-15 minutes.
They're not getting more frequent or intense but are very very uncomfortable. Every contraction also comes with back pain. Pain gets worse when I stand up and move about. No other symptoms other wise.
Has anyone had similar experience so early on (I'm only 32 weeks). How can I stop these contractions and avoid preterm labour?

Rest (lying down) & call your OB & midwives ASAP.
I hope they stop soon.

The same situation
I had the same experience last night.
Went to see OB/GYN today. I am on medication to prevent utirine contractions.
I recommend that you contact your doctor immediately. You should aim to keep from having the baby for another couple of weeks.
This is my second pregnancy with these problems. First baby was born at 36 weeks and has developed well. She is coming up for 6 y.o. now.
Call your doctor and try not to stress and worry6.
Good luck.

Call your obs immediately! Those contractions are premature contractions and put your baby at risk of preterm delivery!
Totally understand how worried you are!
I have the same problem, started as early as 20 weeks, I'm now on 2 medications to stop the contractions, and luckily, I've made it through 34 weeks now, baby still in my womb.
Have lots of rest, drink plenty of water and relax. My obs told me dehydration and stress can also trigger contractions.
Hope things go well!

Agreed with all the ladies. It happened to me when I was pregnant with my DD and I was put on medication.
Do it ASAP.
