    Hi Girls

Back from the holiday, had the best time. Was on injectables this cycle as Clomid din't create the super-ovulation my FS is trying to achieve, went back to see her upon my return and no wonder my ovaries were hurting like mad. I had 5 or 6 big follicles and many smaller ones. So things looked good then and she gave me an HCG shot - although at the same time she suggested the small follies might be a sign of PCOS... I don't get it. I have never missed a period, I am size 8, no skin problems and no cysts on ovaries... but whatever, she put me on Metformin now. I am still not really convinced about this whole diabetes and PCOS story as nobody in my family is diabetic either.

Worse is that the next day I was meant to go for an IUI and on the day on a closer look it showed my ovaries got really enlarged with all the eggs in them so that they actually squeezed the uterus up and the IUI couldn't go ahead as she wasn't able to reach the uterus. So we just BDed with hubby that night instead.

After this I had four days of crazy pains in my abdomen, I couldn't move without feeling discomfort. My boobs were killing me and I felt sick on and off. Then suddenly on day 5 I woke up fine, not a single pain. It's now DPO7 for me and I feel nothing, just sore nipples but that's from the progesterone I am also taking.

To be honest I am not at my most positive right now. I did some reading on my thyroid antibodies and it seems that they do in fact cause quite a bit of problems in terms of fertility.

Everyone around me is falling preggers and I am starting to feel like I do not belong. I have the sweetest hubby but I have also been feeling a lot less sexy with all that is going on and the fact that it's proving to be a daunting long journey. It might sounds silly but I am really worried how it might impact my marriage in the long run... I know I should be more positive and believe it will happen, but you know how it gets.

I also stopped acupuncture as I realised the guy I used to go to was lazy and hopeless, I only found out as I now study acu myself. He also put up his prices recently to something like HK$750 which is just outrageous for the fact he does nothing but put you down and pins 8 needles in you without any closer exam! I will look into alternatives but just feeling a bit frustrated and directionless at this point.

MayC and TTC#2, I hope you will get some good news in the next few days. Reei, sorry to hear about the AF!

Have a good day Girls xx

Many girls should be around their testing time, how is everyone? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am a no go for this month, had a very early m/c. Going for a totally natural cycle this month to get the body relatively back to normal. Which is good as I wouldn't be able to go through the whole thing again so early on.

What can I say, it's definitely a journey for us.

Hope you girls have better news!

Brightstar, am so sorry sweetie. Wish I could give you a big hug. Of course hubby finds you sexy. I know its hard but please stay positive. Taking a break from the drugs sounds like a good idea.

Today is CD 29, and you're right I should test. I actually did a HPT on Sat and it was negative. The last couple of months my cycle has been 25-27days. Will pick up another HPT on my way home if there's no sign of AF today.

    ovulation problems

Hi all you Moms and Moms-to-be out there...

I thought I'd share my own story with you ladies to give you hope, becaus I know everything will turn out all right for you all.

My husband and I tried for about 8-9 months before I became pregnant. It sounds like not a terribly long time, but it was excruciating for me because my body was not doing what it was "supposed to", namely OVULATE. I was with Dr. Dawkins inthe beginning and he prescribed Clomid, which I took for several cycles. However, the drug wasn't quite strong enough to make my follicles big enough to actually release an egg. So Dr. Dawkins sent me to his "fertility partner" Dr. Philip Ho who was simply the best. He is very cut-to-the-chase, no-nonsense and no-frilles (kinda serious and not big on gratuitous smiling) but when you're experiencing these problems, that is the kind of doctor you want! He was extremely knowledgeable and put me on injectibles right away (GonalF). He is also very patient and happy to answer any and all questions you have. Anyway, I took the daily injectibles for about 9 straight days, and on the final day he did a scan and found my follies were at about 20-21mm - ready for the HCG shot! I got it that day, hubby and i BD'd for the next few nights and I got pregnant that cycle. Then Dr. Ho sent me back to Dr. Dawkins (after "getting me pregnant"). I guess they have this type of arrangement between the two doctors. Makes sense. Dr Ho is a fertility specialist, Dr Dawkins is not (though both are great OBGNs).

I am 13 weeks pregnant today and all is well. So I'd like to recommend Dr. Philip Ho to you ladies experiencing fertility issues. His English is great (I don't speak a drop of Canto) and he knows what he is doing!!!! His nurse Kelly is the best ever, also extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer calls and questions at all hours.

Good luck to all of you. Hope my story helps a bit.
