Helper and baby

Hi all,

I am a first time mum and have a 9 week old baby and a wonderful helper who is really good with babies.

Yesterday, my baby was crying uncontrollably as she was tired. She wouldn't calm down when my husband and I held her but when my helper held her, she stopped crying.

This may sound a little silly but I am getting concerned whether the baby is confusing the helper as her mum...I am breastfeeding her and spending a lot of time with her. Undoubtedly though, my helper is "better" at playing with her as she's more experienced with babies. Could a 9 week old baby be confused as to who her mum is?

Any advice appreciated as I feel quite concerned about this situation....my helper is really great with her but obviously I don't want the baby to become too attached to her (over me!).

Thanks!
