Is it normal for toddler to have nose bleed?

Hi, my 3-year old had nose bled twice in a couple of months. Is it normal for a child to experience that? Anyone can share with me their experiences.

My older child tends towards nose bleeds. She would get them more often in the dry weather, or if the a/c made things extra dry.

Our GP said that it was because one of the veins in her nose was closer to the surface or something like that. He said if it was really bad & frequent, we could see a specialist who would then cauterize the vein. But... they only happen a few times a year & now we know that it's no big deal, we just give her some tissue and it's all over in a little while.

I would recommend that you make note of the circumstances when your child has nose bleeds and then, next time you go for a visit to the Dr. mention it to him or her.
