frequenting the loo...
ladies out there who are or have been preggers, i'm just wondering about your experience with frequent urination. i'm waking up nearly every hour on some nights having to pee... then again, i've always had a bit of an overactive bladder. i'm 12-13 weeks right now, and i've read in some literature that it gets better after the first trimester and heard elsewhere that it lasts throughout the 9 months (yikes!). some "real life" experiences would really help... thanks so much.

I am currently at 15 weeks, basically there are only 3 things that I am capable of these days... Sleep, eat and pee! I was waking up at least 4-5 five times everyday during wks 9-12 but for the past couple of weeks I have waking up about 2-3 times a night. So now when I am at the doctor's I do not need to wait to give them a urine sample. I am always ready to go!

I am now 25 weeks and the nighttime waking has gotten better. I am not sure if it's because I've gotten used to it or because of other physiological changes. In my first trimester I also had to wake up 5-6 times a night up till about 4/5 months. Now usually I *only* (haha) wake up 2-3 times a night. Also, I get thirsty at night as well so sometime I drink water when I wake up but it's recommended that you limited your liquids intake after suppertime. Good Luck!

thanks ladies! on the one hand, it sucks to hear that it continues throughout pregnancy to some extent but on the other hand it's very reassuring to know that i (we) are not alone and this is "normal"...
i hate complaining cuz i know it's such a small price to pay... but it feels good to vent sometimes
