Mine are now 1.5 and 3.5 years.
There is nothing like trying to get pregnant, pregnancy, L+D and paretning to make you realize you have falsely thought you had control over your life!
I think it must be harder to get pregnant fast with the first because you expect to be pregnant fast with more, whereas because it took awhile the first time for me, I expected it to the second time and we were so suprised to have a baby that fast. In fact I would have preferred them to be a bit further spaced out. 24 months was my minimum spacing and they are 25 months apart. Ideally I would have like 30-36 months. Dealing with a 2 year old and a newborn was a challenge, but it is nice now that they are bigger.

Capital: That's what I thought about having them very close in age. I think a 24 month gap or greater would be a better idea for us too because we don't have a helper or family here. To jungle them both if they were very close would be a great challenge. My daughter is turning 1 on Monday and I'm glad that we have lots of time to soend with her.
How old are they now?

We do not have any family around either, even though we are in Canada. MY DH'd is all in HOng Kong, mine all live far away too, and of course no one here uses live in help.

turtle, was sorry to read about your previous m/cs - you've had an especially rough ride. I wish you the very best in this pregnancy and beautiful, healthy child at the end of it.
Best of luck to others trying as well.
