Concieving a second child-how long did you take?????

I was wondering how long after trying did you conceive your second child? We been trying for a little while with no results and I need some ideas from others how long they took. I need inspiration to keep on trying!!!

i said to hubby at the beginning of june that i wanted to try again. i was pregnant by the end of june.

relax, the more you worry about it, the more stressed you get and the less likely you'll get pregnant.

good luck!

Hi- I'm sure the last thing you need to hear right now is people telling you how fast they concieved their 2nd child!

No doubt it is worrying, especially if a first child was concieved quick/ly and the second one not so fast!
I think it is impossible not to worry.....but it is possible to put the worry into perspective and lessen it a bit.

From what I have read the average couple takes 6-8 months to concieve, so if you have been trying for less than that, then no need to worry- just keep trying.

Most Drs. will say try for a year before taking any action....like seeing a Dr. but if it is really bothering you there is no harm in talking over your fears with a Dr. If only for reassurance, or advice!

sorry, just re-read my response and it seems a little heartless. it wasn't meant that way. i got pregnant easily, but both times my pregnancies were hell on earth.

like i said, if it doesn't happen immediately, relax and try to take your mind off of it. it would be very difficult, i'm sure.

i do wish you the best of luck.
ps. you don't say how long a "little while" is... or how long it took you the first time.

Mai,

I have been trying now for 6-months. My first is 4 years old. Both DH and I are in our late 30s, and its not going to be easy. There's a very supportive group of Moms on the Symptoms thread. Why don't you join us.

First child first cycle. We have been trying 4 cycles.

We just have to keep trying. It's hard to relax sometimes. Our daughter is turning one and we hoped the second child would come along soon.

I was curious to know how it took for others for reference.

Sorry, just wanted some comforting cause was hoping this month we'd be successful. But my period came this morning earlier this month and put a damper on things.

Thanks for the encouragement and support!

hi there Mai.. I feel your frustration.

First child, first cycle.

My son is now 19 months old and
we have been trying for #2 for just over a year!

I'm not sure when to go and see someone about it. thought i might just relax until after xmas and new year and then get things checked out.
Good luck!!
I had no idea I would have this much trouble second time around.
