Babies residence status???
Hi,
Just a query for a friend, if you are to have a baby in hong kong but are not permanat residence (ie the 7 year resident status) or you are not a chinese national, what visa status does your baby get?
Do you need to reapply for visas every year for them as you do with your own status?
Or do they just get a hong kong birth certificate and fall under your dependent visas?

They do have a HK birth certificate.
You renew their visas each time you renew yours.
They fall under dependant status.
