Has any mom purchased this product? Every time we stop by Toys R Us, there's a line of kids waiting to play this game, my son included.

Is it worth buying? And is it educational enough to justify purchasing basically a computer game?

D really wanted one for his 4th birthday! A couple of his friends had one. And every time we went to Toys R Us he would also run to queue up to play. I wasn't convinced of the educational benefits, and didn't get it. Shortly after a friend gave him an Xbox and within a couple of weeks he was addicted. We ended up taking it away. I know we sound awful, but we couldn't get him away from it. We have a huge playground in our complex, and I'd rather he go down to play and interact with other kids than be glued to that. Have heard it helps with hand eye coordination :)

D now wants a Wii for his birthday.

I got one for my 2 kids (3 and 5 yrs old). Well my kids love it and it is educational. Better than the Xbox. They can learn the alpabet, words etc ... playing the game.
