hi
we went on a family holiday with our 15 month old to kota kinabalu, malaysia and stayed at the shangri la tanjung aru.
it was a very child friendly resort although the beach was not very exciting. we spent most mornings at the pool and every afternoon in the childrens playroom. however the only activity she could really do was go feed the fish but she had lots of fun in the playroom with the toys, books, coloring, etc. meals can also be ordered and eaten in the children's room there itself.
on the day we were leaving on an early morning flight, we needed to get some food for the plane for her and the head chef was nice enough to make something special for her on the house. lots of other kids around as well and there is a direct flight from hk to kk.

Just been to the Shangri-la in Cebu and it was VERY child-friendly, my LO loved it! We went swimming in the pool, in the sea, fed the fish, played in the activity rooms and walked around the gardens. Great fun. I hear also that the Shangri-La on Sentosa Island, Singapore is great for kids also.

Enjoy! xxx

We have been to Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa (Singapore) and it was a great time, as was the other Shangri-la on Kota Kinabalu, Rasa Ria.
In both cases the beach isn't so great (KK better than Singapore) but the pools were great and both have areas where kids can play.
