Exclamation Hong Kong Kindergartens and Primary Schools Closed

I just had a phone call from the woodlands playgroup that my son attends letting me know that all primary schools and pre-schools/kindergartens are closed until after easter as a result of the recent flu outbreak and death of 3 children

    see link for more details

I would check with your individual schools as my daughter’s school, Canadian International, is still open.

I was just going to ask the same question, should we AVOID other children??? I've been too busy to read the newspaper this week and had no idea.

its a tough call. i've had my son home all week already as he had a cold and i don't like to be the one spreading germs. his nose has now cleared up and we are going stir crazy here at home. not sure what to do either really....

...maybe just one on one playdates with kids of other parents who are known to be as careful as you are if symptoms arise.

It's hard to decide....I feel if I keep my son away from my friends so I'm overreacting but at the same time I don't want to take any risks!

At the moment I am keeping him away from the indoor playroom...and trying to see if we can have playdates/playgroups outside rather than inside.
