How soon can we take the baby out?

This might sounds like a sill quesion but I'm new mum and I have no one to help or give advice here....
At what age can I take my 2 months old baby out? I live in Discovery Bay and I take my aby out and around 2-3 times a week. But when I went to HK side, mostly at IFC, people were looking at me and my baby. May be I'm too paranoid but I want to be sure that I didn't do anything wrong....

they were looking at you because you have a beautiful, (new-ish) baby!

the stares dont' stop. i still get people looking at my 3 year old and my 1 year old.

Adahc, we went out the day after I got discharged from hospital. But of course, we weren't in Hong Kong. We were in Sydney.

I reckon you take your baby out when you feel you are both ready ;-)

its probably whenever you are comfortable . I only started taking bubs out (under advice of elderly chinese grandparents) only from 3 months onwards.

Not taking your baby out seems to be a chinese thing.

My son and I came home from the hospital on day 2, we were out and about by day 5.
Without the luxury of a helper, people in the rest of the world have no choice but to take their baby with them everywhere they go.
So staying at home for more than a couple of weeks isn't usually an option.

My son loved going out. He was a fussy baby and going out meant he would sleep well in either a carrier or pram.

Unless someone touches your baby,( easy enough to stop, trust me!) what exactly do people worry will happen?
