I think it's almost impossible to get BPA free pacifiers. The teat is usually latex or silicone but the plastic backing usually has BPA.

Saira - I saw BPA free Dr Browns bottles at Mothercare today if you are still looking. They are made of PES which is the same as the Bfree bottles.

I used almost exclusively glass bottles for my 2 girls who are now 4.5 and 2.5 years old. I bought a couple of plastic bottles to try but reverted back to my glass bottles.

I just used Pigeon brand that's easily found everywhere e.g. Watson, Wing On.

We used them everywhere, at home and during outings. We only broke them twice - both times by Daddy when he forgot to put the bottle back into the bag. The kids won't break them as they drink their milk lying down.

My elder daughter had a bad case of colic but the younger one was fine. None of the anti-colic bottles helped. Someone advised me that colic is one of the symptoms of dairy allergy. You may wish to check this out.

Hi, Bfree bottles can't be used with Avent bumps. But Avent bumps can be used with Smucker's jam glass bottles! The jam bottles are easily found in Wellcome & Park'N Shop supermarkets at around $19. Alternatively, you can use the Avent VIA cups (BPA free).

    Query -

There is a one piece pacifier called natursutten which is BPA free. I dont think they are available in HK, but can be purchased on-line.

I noticed that some people (like me) are worried about BPA in sterilizers. I wrote to Avent on this topic, and received the following note:

"You recently asked us about Philips AVENT sterilizers. Please be informed that the material used in those products is polypropylene. None of Philips AVENT sterilizers use polycarbonate material."

So, even though the Avent bottles are made of polycarbonate (which has the risk for BPA), it appears their sterilizers are BPA-free.
