Ovulation predictor kits are a fairly easy and comparatively economical way to try and take charge of your fertility. You can buy these ovulator predictor sticks in pharmacies and by peeing on a stick, it tells you when you are ovulating. You can then plan to BD ("baby dance", polite term for having sex) with your hubby around that period.

For me, I used the Clearblue Fertility Monitor which works on the same principle is a slightly more elaborate (and pricier) method for charting ovulation. (But I'm not sure if you can get it in Japan - I got mine in Canada and they sell them in Singapore as well.)

    Good luck!

i also used ovulation predictor kits which made it a whole lot easier since my cycle is not the standard 28 days.

i ordered my tests in bulk from a website graciously provided by a geobaby member awhile back. it's - www.saveontests.com - and they delivered to HK rather quick for a reasonable shipping fee.

wishin you the best of luck!

I also used ovulation predictor, since my period is not regular, i used it combining with a healthy diet, without coffee and alcohol for a few months ahead. I got pregnant by just using it for one cycle.

So,good luck, and take it easy.

many thanks peainpod, cbebe and dolphinyp.

i will start trying this month and really hope it works out soon. my cycle is the standard 28 days, would that increase my chances of getting pregnant easier?

that'll definitely make it easier to track your ovulation.

before we started ttc, i went to my dr for a preconception check-up just make sure i'm in good health & ready to to conceive. if you haven't done so, it might be a good idea to schedule an appt.

Yes, absolutely, we've done a couple check-up before conceiving also.
One important thing, as soon as you starting trying, you should start eating folic acid 'olic acid is a B vitamin. It helps the body make healthy new cells. Everyone needs folic acid. For women who may get pregnant, it is really important. When a woman has enough folic acid in her body before and during pregnancy, it can prevent major birth defects of her baby's brain or spine.Or you can consult your family doc.
Good luck, and take it easy
