Ovulation is "supposed" to be 12-16 days after your period - but that can vary depending on the person. You could try testing yourself with an ovulation kit. Basic ones are available in pharmacies and consist of test-sticks that you pee on (much like pregnancy test kits) which will turn color when you ovulate. So you need to test around the time of ovulation (12-16 days after the first day of your last menstruation).
If you have irregular periods, you may want to consider the Clearblue Fertility Monitor which is pricier but tests for more than one hormone (so more accurate). More importantly, it tests you for the entire month (30 consecutive days), so reducing the guesswork from your irregular cycle and then logs the results for comparison. But I'm not sure if you can get it in Hong Kong. (I got mine in Canada; altho they are also sold in Singapore.) So if you want to get more test sticks, you will need to order from abroad.

I totally recommend ovulation kits. It's expensive but it worked for me. My period was somewhat irregular - between about 28-35 days, and I could NEVER tell when I was ovulating. I took my temperature and everything for a YEAR and nothing happened. Then I used an ovulation kit for ONE month and tada - pregnant! I wish I'd given it a chance sooner. I didn't want to because it's expensive and I'm cheap ;)
I ordered online from the US because it was less than half the price (INCLUDING postage) than Hong Kong.

this book
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/...nd+toni+w%2527
is really good, and goes through everything related to fetility, how to temp, how to check cervical mucous, how to try for a boy vs, girl and opposite, how reproduction works, how to tell when you are ovulating. I found it very helpful.
