    recurrent miscarriage

I'm turning to age 38 next month and in the past two years, I suffered three consecutive miscarriage in the first trimester (all between weeks 7-8 pregnancy). Indeed, I am now suffering my third miscarriage. Psychologically, emotionally, I am in great pain. The most difficult part is losing hope about future pregnancy. I don't know who and what organisation I can seek help, would you mind to give some advise or directions who and what medical organisation(s) can help for my situation?

    Hi Sumomama,
I'm sorry about what you have to go through, and perfectly understand what you are feeling. I've been through recurrent miscarriages (I'm 39 now), but found the right person and help for the last pregnancy, and I'm a mum now.

I can imagine you have already read a lot of information about miscarriages, the problem is that most of them have no explanation, but a genetic problem for the baby.

Have you already done some tests, blood tests, ovulation, uterus shape etc ??
If you need to talk more about it, don't hesitate to PM me, ok ?
    Courage,
    Virginie

    Sumomama,

So sorry that you're going through this. Have you consulted with a specialist? I know Dr Ghosh has helped a few members with similar problems. Have a read through this discussion

    Rm

Thank Virginie and Rani for the warm wishes. Actually, I'm rest at home at the moment (still bleeding). Maybe I'm too idle, my mind keep thinking. Every little thing can make me very emotional. Tears, grieve, and depression are part of the process. I understood. I read a lot of the RM materials, 50-60% cases are unexplained and no way to fix. The past two RMs, HOPE for the next luck gave me strength. Once it becomes habitual miscarriage, this time, I completely lost my HOPE which is killing.

Thanks Virgine, I have PM you, please check.

sumomama, please do not lose hope. I also suffered 3 miscarriages last year - I was so frustrated and sad that I completely fell into depression, quit my job, stopped working out, sat at home thinking "why is this happening to me?"
At the encouragement of a friend I went to see a homeopathic doctor who is also a midwife - Dr. Julia McKenzie. She convinced me that indeed, getting pregnant is more than half the battle - just think, there are some women out there who aren't even lucky enough to be given a chance, as they are not even able to get pregnant! I have to admit, that at the time I still felt depressed and angry, but now I am about 17 weeks pregnant and am feeling very good and staying very positive.
Please keep thinking positively, I know it is difficult, but have faith! Also, my ObGyn is a fertility specialist - Dr. Philip Ho - he prescribed me progesterone in the first trimester, which I also feel may have made a difference.
