Sitting up while sleeping at night

My 6-month-old boy has recently learnt how to roll over and sit up on his own. The problem is..everynight for the past 2 weeks, he does that even when he's asleep at night and then cries (sometimes sobs when we leave him alone) because he can't decide how he wants to sleep. Anybody experienced this too? Any advise?

yep, experienced it with both of my kids. they were both fantastic sleepers until they hit 6 months. then it went downhill for about 6 months and by 1 year or so, they had it figured out.

My baby is doing this too, she rolls and ends up sitting up, all while asleep. And she seems to be teething and irritable too. For the past few nights, we have been up with her for an hour or two in the middle of the night, trying to get her back to sleep. She won't nurse too, because of the teething.

What can we do, will it take up to a year to go back to sleeping through the night. I tried wrapping the blankets around her tighter, and putting her in grobags, but she still rolled over and sat up.
