Giving birth at United Christian Hospital - Kwun Tong

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone had any experience giving birth / going for check ups at the United Christina Hospital in Kwun Tong?

Were babies allowed to stay with the mum straight after birth or were they taken away to the nursery?

Are they good medically at taking care of premature babies?

:)

My daughter was born there, they are very efficient but overall the nurses are not very polite.

My wife had her first scan at Hertford County Hospital, UK and the staff were 10/10 so it was quite a shock going to UCH for her second scan!

There's usually a long wait for checkups so make sure you bring along some magazines and newpapers.

During the compulsary course to enable the father to be present duing the birth, I bumped into a couple from Devon, UK, the only white couple there.

:)
Our daughter was taken away to the nursery after birth on day one and you will only see her at feeding time/changing nappies.

Day two, the baby stays with the mum.

I heard through some other people that the neonatal unit is quite good.
