So am I, have no idea which one to go for? I guess it's between the usual 3 - Healthbaby, Cordlife and Cryolife. I do notice that these 3 store for 18 years vs the one in the UK that stores for 25 years (sorry I forgot the name of the UK company, Smart Cell?)...not sure why though, cost is about the same. Has anybody done a comparison between the companies to share with us? Thanks in advance.

I've been told that the reason for 18 years is because when the child is 18, he/she will have the legal right to decide what to do with the cord blood - ie. whether to continue storage or otherwise.

I didn't do a comprehensive comparison between the 3 but we chose Cordlife because they have a facility in our home country where we plan to be at in the long term.

However, if you do decide to go for Cordlife, I can refer you and then we will both get a discount, so PM me if you need the info.

    Good luck!

Can you share a little about the approximate cost?
What do you do if you move to another country in Europe, North America, or Asia?

i went with cordlife because they have centres all over the world where you could theoretically transfer the cord blood if you moved.
