Excuse me for summerising! I am neither the reporter nor employee of the SCMP and am not going to quote the article verbatim. It is blatantly obvious that nothing I wrote on this thread is contradictory to the article factually.

I have no relationship with Dr. Ferguson, so I just state it as it is portrayed in the article. It may not be the picture of Dr. Ferguson as LeahH like to see since she knows her. Attacking me for giving a pretty accurate summary of the article will not change the fact that the kind Doc herself admitted that what she did then was unprofessional behaviour.

Dr. Ferguson's actions will be a comfort to many for looking after patients. On the flip side, or just me being cynical, being confrontational with one's colleagues may not lead to a very happy working team.

I am sure Dr. Ferguson is a very experienced and good doc as I have already expressly pointed out before, my point was just that there are also other excellent docs worth consideration.

I can highly recommend Dr Patrick Chan at 2522-2500. I had sally ferguson for my first and she was great, but she referred me to patrick for my 2nd as he is also a fertility specialist. I find that he is much more patient and seems to have lots of time to spend with you and DH. He always remembers both our names. I never feel rushed, and even if you don't need help with getting pg, he's a great ob/gyn. Plus he works through lunch times and after hours till abut 7pm in central, which is great if you work in the area.

I included the actual article so there would be no need for a 'summary' - factual or otherwise - enabling people to draw their own conclusions with the relevant details/context.

As Pooley says, Patrick Chan is also wonderful. Very patient and went to great lengths to explain everything in detail, only issue for me was that he suggested a C-section if the baby went over 8 pounds which seemed over cautious advice (baby was well above 8 pounds and a natural birth was no problem).

I just went for my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Yau Hon Wai in MongKok. He lacked bedside manners and appeared to be indecisive about his findings. This is one that I would NOT recommend.

FYI, today's SCMP has reported that Dr Ferguson has been permanently suspended from the Adventist Hospital.

    Hi ladies
    Congratulations on your pregnancies!
I am with Lucy Lord and really like her. Shes very matter of fact and straightforward (I know some think a bit too much) but I have confidence in her advice and she also has a good record of natural births and is open to techniques like hypnobirthing. The clinic is also very central which helps.
