What are your baby's favourite books?

I thought I'd ask what are your baby's favourite books as I am always on the lookout for new ones for my 21 month old.

My LO's current favourites are "Owl Babies", anything by Richard Scarry, "Duck in a Truck", "The Gruffalo" and anything with construction vehicles, trucks or cars!

I LOOOVVEEE the Hairy Macleary books - my baby is still "-7 weeks" (7 weeks til due date) but other kids I know ALL loved Hairy Macleary - awesome books, you should check them out...

In Australia, my Mum kept ALL my kids books and I plan on raiding the collection when I go back and getting all my favourites - I haven't told her yet though...

ROBERT MUNSCH, ROBERT MUNSCH, ROBERT MUNSCH!

i have been reading his books to my private students, my own children and now the kids at my playgroup. and they ALL LOVE HIM!!!!!!

they love him so much, that i went onto amazon.ca and ordered 12 of his books in chinese (i have the same ones in english) for the kids in the mandarin class and my own kids. at about $140/book (inc shipping) i still think they are worth it...

    my personal favourites:
MORTIMER (about a little boy who doesn't want to go to sleep)
I HAVE TO GO (a little boy who is learning how to use the toilet)
GET OUT OF BED! (a little girl who doesn't wank to wake up)
    STEPANIE'S PONYTAIL (self explanitory)
THE PAPER BAG PRINCESS (a princess who saves her "prince" from a dragon)
LOVE YOU FOREVER (i cannot make it through this book without ending up a quivering, crying mess!)

Love you forever..definately my favorite book.
Me too, can't finish the book without being teary eyed..haha

back on topic, as for my baby, now 10 months, he loves to flip through books with faces of babies!! he'll smile at the pictures and sometimes **** the baby faces =)

Also, "The Going to Bed Book" by Sandra Boynton...perfect bedtime book.

    Our favorites are --

    1) Goodnight Moon (Margaret Wise Brown) - This is the book that we'd sign to every night before bed with both our kids
    2) The Moon in My Room - This has a night light that the kids love to press to turn on
    3) Hairy McLarry series
    4) Julia Donaldson books (Gruffalo, Spiffiest Giant, Sharing a Shell, etc.)
    5) Eric Carle books (esp. The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear)
    6) Someday by Alison McGhee - I always choke and get teary-eyed when I get to the last line.

My son's current favorite is My Little Sister Ate One Hare by Bill Grossman. He cackles and laughs each time we read it; I guess it has humor that 3yo find really hilarious.

I think it depends on where the book was printed. I guess ours was a UK edition. :)
