    Unhappy Talking for 18mths baby

    Hi

Do anyone experience baby only say daddy but still not saying mummy at the age of 18 months?

Yes, dont worry. I spent every minute of the day caring or my son and he would only say daddy, even though daddy was at work alot. It soon came, but I think it just wasnt vocabulary that he needed as I was always there. :)

the consonant sound for "d" is much easier to say and usually it is the first to be said.

Thanks for the reply. It's really frustrating. He picks up more words day by day but just not mummy, seems like he knows it but just don't want to say it.

    totally agree, don't worry :)

my 16 months little boy can say about 15 words and recently he started calling me "mommy". It's so rewarding to hear that but now he can't stop calling me "mommy, mommy, mommy" in the house >.<

I'm so happy to learn that I'm not the only one under frustration for not hearing mummy from 18 months boy. Thx for your replies.

My daughter Emily is 20 months and only says Daddy and my wife is getting a little jealous.
