sinus surgery
Hi,
I went to a panel nose, ear, throat specialist after months of being sick. turns out my left sinus is completely blocked and need functional endoscopic sinus surgery. I was quoted 15K for doctor's surgery fee. + another 15K for miscellaneous (anaethetists, hospital fees, etc.)
I got a second opinion already and surgery is necessary. I'm just not sure how fair is the quoted doc fee for such a surgery. Does anyone has experience on this?
My insurance plan will cap payment for something like this at under 15K. So i would like to see if I should try to lower the bill somehow.
thanks,

Sinus
Dear Kellyst
I had sinus problem a few months ago and needing Functional Sinus Surgery. I went for it and it was a right decision. I did shop around for the best surgeon because the sinuses are near the eyesocket. I found one who I felt very comfortable with. He was top-notched and spoke BBC english. His fee was higher but I think he was some of the best around.
I think you should not compromise on price. The main objective is to find a good surgeon who can deliver.
Regards
Penny
