newly pregnant and in need of advice
I have recently discovered that I am pregnant and have had this confirmed by a doctor in hong kong.
She advised me that I should go to a hospital with my confirmation letter and begin my antenatal check ups (I have no insurance so am going public).
Do I just go to any hospital and arrange these or do I have to visit the maternal and child health clinic first?
Am very confused as new to Hong Kong and really not sure what to do next but need check up soon as doctor believes I am eight weeks pregnant already.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

i would call the hospital closest to you to ask if they have maternity services. then ask what you should do next, they should be able to point you in the right direction.
good luck and congratulations!

If you know that your local hospital has maternity services just show up at their obstetrics/gyn ward and there should be a special window at the reception area for new cases. One thing I have found with the public system is they tell you everything you need to do so don't worry - just get registered and they will tell you what you need to do from there.
