Thanks so much for all the helpful suggestions! Since we've clearly missed PEKIP shall try Panda Junction!

My daughter is 15 months and really enjoys Kindamusik. I think it is important to identify which development stage your child is at (are they walking, do they like music, or do they just like socialising). My daughter used to love Gymboree and we thought she gained a lot out of it, but I think since becoming much more active, has lost interest in it. In Kindamusik our particular teacher is quite laid back and not bothered if our girl doesn't want to sit still whilst doing the group activities. I would also recommend not only getting recommendations on different activities, but the teachers can also make a big difference too. I would recommend asking to do a trial for any of the classes you choose.
Best of luck!

It all boils down to your child.* What one person thinks is most enjoyable someone else may think gthe opposite and I agree with AussieMum that it depends what stage your child is at.* We liked Panda Junction until my daughter was old enough to move in to the next class and then she struggled as all the babies were crawling and she wasn't meaning she wasn't getting any joy out of the 30 minute playtime as she couldn't move and 30 minutes to me felt like an eternity! Most of the kiddie's activities offer trial classes so I would recommend that, that way you can gauge from your child whether she/he enjoys that particular activity.* You should take it from them not from an adult perspective. The last thing you want is to end up dragging them to something they don't like just because YOU think it is good - believe me...I have seen it happen!

For that age, mine enjoyed MyGym (still does at 20 months)
For younger babies, Pekip for fun and for helping with her developmentally (until theyre walking)

music together, panda junction, mygym.
it does depend on the personality of the child and the instructor.

Thanks for all the useful points. My little one is pretty social - she is not walking yet but likes music a lot -- so that is something to keep in mind. I'll definitely do a bunch of trial classes first which will also be fun and give me a sense of how she likes it. Thanks again ladies!
