    H1N1 affecting summer travel plans??

Just curious to know how many of you are worried about the H1N1, and how, if at all, it is affecting your travel plans for the summer?

We plan to go back to the US and then a 1 week cruise to Alaska, and onto Canada thereafter with 2 little ones under the age of 5. We ARE hesitant and unsure to continue with our travel plans as most of our travelling is contained on either an airplane, cruise boat and airports.

What is everyone else doing with travel plans in the summer?

I cancelled our family back to see the rellies in Germany.

Don't want to take the risk of my 3 year old being exposed on the plane ride. I'm sure the risk is low as our travel destination is pretty safe but I'd rather my child be in HK while this H1N1 business is going on. I went through SARS in Singapore and know that HK (like Sg) would go to greater lengths than most country if there was a problem.

However, I have decided on using this opportunity for a great mummy and girlfriends trip though :yeah2 So I'll be travelling without bub instead. I'd like to think of it as mummy taking a break over summer so that her 3 year old doesn't do her head in. Avoiding heavy outbreak areas though.

funny, that was my question EXACTLY which i had posted on this forum a couple of days ago...and it seemed to have disappeared?

We'll be on airplanes, cruise boat and THEN onto Canada for our holidays. That's my concern when travelling with my little ones.

Curious to see how many are still travelling with their children over the holidays in during this H1N1 outbreak.

No but we are getting flu injections this year and we wouldn't normally. Not because the immunisation can protect (because it can't) but because we will be travelling back to HK means we will have a year of winter and will be following the viruses around.
