The mandarin playgroup they attend (Yi Fan) is staying open so at least they have something to do Saturday mornings.....
And yes if Mygym is open we'll go to that. I'm also taking them out to Playtown and Wisekids. It's raining and will be for a few days so indoor activities :(

Checked with Woodland playgroup and replied that no refund and no make up class...they are operated such a commercial organisation, no flexibility at all!!! Also, you have to pay a term fee and 2 months notice for not continue the term.

I really don't think individual schools and teachers should be obliged to deliver a service when the government has suspended classes. At least it's only a couple of weeks (at the moment).
After all, schools still have to pay staff, maintainence, rent etc etc.
It's not any more the schools' fault than a black rainstorm.

Babybuddies is not closing either and what annoys me is the reason they gave for not closing:
"In regards to the information provided by the government today (11th June) regarding the swine flu and the closure of schools, it does not include Baby Buddies. Baby Buddies will continue to operate classes as normal and therefore there will be no suspension of classes as we are an independent establishment. "
I don't know how and why they are considering themseves different from any other school. Its clear that their decision is highly motivated by money and shows total disregard for the well being of their students.Last edited by geomum; 06-16-2009 at 10:28 AM.

Don't know if they are Neha, but a person may or maynot have fever as soon as he/ she contracts the virus.
