Looking for a Doctor that supports V-Bac's
I am expecting my fourth child in December and have felt very discouraged about finding a doctor that understands and respects my desire to have a V-Bac. I would prefer to have a female doctor in a convenient location such as Central as I will be traveling from the mainland and may have my children with me at times.
I will not need a slot in any of the Hong Kong hospitals as I am planning to travel to Thailand for the delivery... just a pre-natal doctor for the next 4 months.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

I went with Robert Dawkins for the same reason but he's now left HK.
What I would say is that if the Dr will not actually deliver your baby, what does it matter whether they support VBACs or not?

In a way it may not matter... but I want a doctor that I am comfortable with and in the off chance I have to go to Hong Kong or go early I want to make sure it is someone who supports my deciscion. Not to mention that I think I would be more likely to like the doctor if he or she values my deciscion. Perhaps reading through the blogs is not the best but it seems that expats having babies in Hong Kong seem to mostly deliver via-C-section and I am astounded at the # of stories of women with various ailments and the way that they were handle. It seems many doctor's/ hospitals think up everyway imaginable to tack on extra and unnecessary worry and costs.

Damara,
I am currently 35 1/2 weeks pregnant with my second child and I will be attempting to have a vbac in prince of wales hospital. I have been supported in my decision by the doctors there and I have been seeing Dr Alex Doo in Central who has also supported my decision and did not try to persuade me to have C-section this time round.
His details are available on this website.
