how to store fresh milk while traveling LH?
hi parents..
i know this is rather silly but i am not sure what to do. we are heading to melb from HK via KL .. departing around 2ishpm. There will be a lay over in KL for 3 hours.. which means we depart again around 6ishpm. We will only reach melb the next day at 8am.
question is my 16 mths only drinks full fat fresh milk to be exact PURA from Oz. How can i store the milk for her in this long jouney?
she drinks fresh milk before she sleeps and when she wakes up in the morning.Nope.. she does not want formula anymore.
as i am flying Malaysian airline.. i doubt they have fresh milk on board.
i am thinking of taking a box of PURA milk and put some ice pack around it. store it in a cool container.Bring it on board and ask the stewards to put it in a cold storage.. is there such a thing??
am i nuts??anyone care to share their experience? please do advice
thanks a bunch

Can you get the PURA milk in Long Life cartons? They might be better than fresh milk.

Hi Augustbump, you can buy the long life Pura Milk. My daughter also drinks the same milk. We buy our long life Pura milk from the International Supermarket in Cyberport (Pokfulam) so I am sure others will too.
You might want to check if you are able to take the milk (as it is over 100ml) through security, both in HK and KL.

You can freeze or semi-freeze the milk, so it thaws out for the time you need it.
There are also thermoses that keep things cool. Invest in a good one (Thermos brand).
I have seen the Pura UHT packs at my regular ParknShop.

We travel with the Paul's UHT milk cartons, you can get packs of 6 x 250 mL cartons. I've not had a problem before taking them through airport security screening as I say they are for the "baby" (well, toddler, actually).

my daughter also drinks pura fresh milk but when we travel we use the pauls UHT milk cartons as tstmum mentioned. So easy and convenient for traveling. When i went to the US early this year i took 6 with me in my handcarry(no questions asked)!
