    where to rent playhouses/baby toys?

i'm not sure if anyone does this here in hk?

i'm planning on organising my baby's first birthday and as we all know they don't do much socialising or games at that age!

I thought about renting a playhouse or gym where i can place it outdoors for babies to use to crawl/cruise around, but have not found anything on google!

the closest thing i found is in singapore:The Toy Rental Club - Birthday Rentals

ps. on a separate note, does anyone know someone who bakes baby edible cakes?

all cakes are baby edible. from the age of one, babies can generally eat everything you do (ours loved pizza!).

you can find rentals, but you need a large space as many of them are more like 'bouncy castles' than anything else.

keep in mind that a 1 yr old birthday party is NOT for the child, but for the parents. it is a celebration that you have past the most difficult part of parenthood (until you hit the teenage years).

if you want to go all out, there are many places like PLAYTOWN that rent their facilities out for parties. (might be cheaper in the long run, depending on how many kids you expect and their ages.)

i've actually got the venue already, it's at a club and i'm planning on using the grassy areas so the babies can crawl around... but thought if i can rent a playhouse then babies can use it to cruise/stand?

won't normal cakes have too much sugar in them for babies?

    thanks carang!

cakes: it's not like it's all they eat all day, everyday. personally, i don't have a problem with my kids eating a piece of cake once in a while. a one year old isn't going to eat very much anyway.

ask at the club where you are having the party. many clubs have bouncy castles etc for rent at a "reasonable" price.

ps> just to let you know, i loved bkk so much last time (partly thanks to your help!) that i'm hoping to take hubby there for our 10th anniversary in a couple of months!

Thanks carang, i'm just worried baby will get 'high' from the sugar considering all the other foodstuff he's had is quite mild!

the club were i'm having the party is really old fashioned, they have space/lots of grass but not much amenities.

so glad you liked bkk, feel free to email me again!

i'm still looking around for play houses/baby toys to rent... I found a place in Singapore and Sydney, are there no such places in HK!?!?!?

there is playright, but they will cost about $7000!!! there really isn't anything like what you are looking for.

as for birthday cake, just give a very small piece (1 inch X 1 inch). it's not like he's going to eat the whole thing anyway. it's his birthday!

We've just been to a great bday party at the clubhouse of someone's building. The host just brought lots of toys from her own home and the 1 year olds are all having fun with them. Perhaps buy a couple big pieces of toys as bday gift for your baby that would still be cheaper/easier than renting.

my house can't fit a playhouse so i can't really buy one here... still trying to find renting places... -_-"
