Travel to Germany - Car Seats?

Yes u r right we didn't take one. No one even stopped us. Even in London we were traveling in private taxis and didn't have one no issues. In the black cabs in London we actually took our pram inside with our son sitting in it.

in germany you need to have a proper car seat, if you are going to rent a car, they can provide one for you. in my hometown, there are some second hand baby shops where you can rent car seats. if you have someone in germany have them check it out for you. have a great trip

Confirmed that you are supposed to have a car seat for taxis in Germany. But they think the taxis would still take you if you don't have one. :)
I think if you were you, I would call the tourism board/hotel for help and check around for second hand ones.

If it helps, I'm selling a 2nd hand Sit 'N Stoll - it is certified for use in Europe and the US - not sure about Germany but i would assume so.
