Obiwan - I see that the sleep fairy is based in Singapore (and now she is in the U.S.) How did you communicate with her and how did you pay her for her services? Thanks.

Obiwan, 6am is fantastic. That's my target these days especially since we had a long spate of 5ams with not wanting to go back to sleep! Great job in sticking to your plan - we are still trying to work out my 9-month-old's sleeping and I found that not going in for the night wakings worked better than going in as he would get so much more agitated whenever he saw us.

Yes Bumbeeno, exactly right. We don't go in at night and she starts crying less and less and settles back to sleep within a couple of minutes. She still wakes up between 5.40am to 5.50am, but we do not go in and get her until after 6am. I also suspect the waking is due to the sun shining in, black-outs may help.

    Day 7 -

    8.10pm to 5.45am, after a feed, slept again from 6am to 7.30am.

That is interesting, Obiwan. I have been wondering about this myself: would a feed at about 5am that 'resettles' the baby and gets her back to sleep until 7 or so mess up the sleep training by sending conflicting signals?

I meant to start the day at 6am but she fell asleep! Not too fussed about that but I woke her up at 7.30am so it won't upset the next sleep cycle.

Wow! Sounds like things are really working! Maybe I will give the sleep fairy a call ;)
