Saw a shocking sight today and thought that it is probably worth reminding my helper not to trust the pedestrian lights and to be alert and look at the traffic even if the pedestrian lights are green. I will be extra careful too in future when I am pushing my LO in his pram.

This might sound obvious, but a helper was pushing a baby across Queen's Road (junction just by D'Aguilar Street) in a rear-facing pram at lunchtime today and the baby was almost run over when a car ran a red light. If it had not been for some passerbys who quickly grabbed the pram and pulled it back off the road when they saw the helper did not know there was a car headed straight for the baby's pram, the car would have hit the baby. The car missed the pram by about 4 inches! What a frightening sight!!
