Washing powder

    We used one of the hypoallergenic ones from 360 (they have quite a range) because of her sensitive skin.

    we just used Persil or Ariel non-bio detergent and then integrated into our laundry at 12 months.

    I use Castle non-biological soap powder for the whole family's washing. I did and do still separate baby's laundry from ours. I do it now mainly because of the difference in size of the loads and the degree of 'soiled-ness'. Babies' clothes don't really get as dirty (unless they get poo or foodstains) so I prefer to use a shorter wash for baby laundry and a hotter, longer wash for ours.

    We used the same detergent as we do for the our stuff but would frequently add a fabric softener to the load to make the kids' clothes a bit softer. Right now we're using Tide which we bought in a big box at Prize Mart as most of the local detergents left our clothes with that "I've just been washed in someone's bucket of sweat" kind of smell.
