    Washing powder

    Hi All

Just wondering what brand of washing powder you all use for newborns. Anything good for sensitive skin?

    Thanks

we never separated our kids' clothes from our own... even when they were newborns. used our regular washing powder. much easier, also cheaper.

We use Purity Sensitive Liquid from ParkNShop. Still separating after 10 months as she's prone to rashes. One bottle lasts months even with nappies, and as we have a small washing machine, it works out to the same number of loads whether I mixed or separated.

I started using non-bio Persil for her clothes and once I finish our washing powder I'm going to wash all of our clothes together but was separating at the beginning using baby liquid, but switched to Persil.

I use Woolite for delicate clothes and wash on gentle cycle, can get it at PnS.

if your baby is rash prone, try changing diaper and wipes brands.

washing powder has nothing to do with rashes. the detergent should be rinsed out completely. if not, buy a new washing machine.

I always use Country Save and it's safe for babies too. You can get it from health foodstores like Health Gate or Healthy Delight in Central.

seventh generation 'baby' when newborn (separated for first 3 months or so) and now the regular version (all family's clothes washed together). it's fragrance + phosphate free, hypoallergenic etc. Stocked at health food stores, 360, B2B and City super.

Personally, I have found that detergent can be a factor if you are prone to rashes or have skin conditions. There can be chemical residue irrespective of how much clothes are rinsed.
