    IVF Complications? Any advice?

This is my first IVF round.
I overreacted to my injectibles (had ovarian overstimulation) and my doctor wanted to cut the cycle short. He stopped all my meds and went into to get my eggs early, even though my follies weren't big enough yet. (At least scan, the largest was 13mm).
He got 6 small eggs which were matured in the lab (a process called IVM). Five of them were successfully matured and fertilized. i believe 3 are high quality and 2 are "ok quality."
They will all be frozen and we'll try a transfer next month.
So... are these numbers good or bad? 5 good embryos, of which we will implant 3.
I'm 36 and healthy. What are my chances? Will using frozen embryos hurt my success rate?
Thanks and lots of baby dust to you all! :)

Hi Gracey, I don't think using frozen embryos will hurt your success rate. Not really sure about what is a good number of eggs to retrieve... I had 10 eggs retrieved, 7 were fertilised. They used the best quality ones (2) in the fresh IVF but that failed. It was the FET that succeeded for me, using the okay quality embryos. I know of quite a few women who failed on the fresh and succeeded on the frozen. I was 34 during the IVF process, 35 now.

Read this article, it's interesting - Frozen embryos may fare better than fresh
One of the arguments why FET may work better than fresh is that the body doesn't go through the "trauma" of egg retrieval a few days before the embryo transfer, so may be more receptive...

All the best of luck anyway!
