    But don't they know consuming excess Iodine and sodium is also very harmful for your health.

    Excess sodium is bad, not sure about the iodine. A lot of the salt here isn't iodized, though.

    Ho... so now I understand why there was a couple filling their trolley with 10 soya sauce bottles !! hope the consumption date is in 2013 !!

    Saw a construction worker in my local park n shop purchase 25 bags of salt and the cashier didn't even bat an eyelid.... Actually I'm surprised they had that many on the shelf!

    truly ridiculous..... maybe we could start something about fishballs, then they could clear the shelves of those and make room for some decent food....

    They mentioned this on the Pearl news last night. Basically due to mass panic on the mainland about winds blowing radiation over this way, they are buying iodinized salt to protect themselves, which is supposed to help prevent radiation sickness. So there you go. Hkers have followed suit. Now, I don't know how soy sauce fits in. Good thing I have an extra bottle in my cupboard. Oh no, wait, it's Japanese soy sauce. We're doomed!
