travelling docs for HK born babies

    thanks ladies for your replies! i'll apply for the sticker with a letter mentioning about our trip so hopefully they can speed up the process but if i dont get it before we fly then i'll just have to take my son's HK birth certificate and pp with us.

    @canadianinhk - nicolejoy is correct. i have been contacting the immigration department about the sticker for my son. you can also submit the mentioned two forms online - along with supporting documents. processing time is 6 weeks but it can be done faster for special circumstances.

    Just heard from a friend who is applying for her second child's PR sticker right now that HK Immig is taking super long to deliver. She got the one for her first daughter a couple of years ago and it was relatively straightforward but she's been waiting for over two months for her younger son. Apparently Immig told her that they are swamped with fast-tracking working visas for the Japanese right now and everything is put on the backburner.
