Anyone knows Dr.Michelle Tsui in pedder street?
Hi!
I'd like to know whether any of you moms have seen already Dr. Michelle Tsui in Pedder street. I just found out that I'm pregnant so I made an appointment this wednesday with her since she is the only one I've seen since I moved to Hk. I just would like to know whether she is good or not. She seemed ok but I saw her only once so it's too quick to say. Since the pregancy is very delicate thing, I want to see the nice and good doctors.
Please send me some message if you know that doctor.

Hi ozmerc, can you send me the info too? I was also planning to go to Dr Tsui too as she is currently my gyno. Thanks!

Dr. Michelle is my doctor and we had a great experience with her. I hope we are in HK long enough for her to deliver all of my babies. My husband even liked her. I am the research and ask a lot of questions type, so she showed me a high level of open communication (which I appreciated). She listen to what I wanted and helped me work towards those goals. She also is NOT one of those doctors that rushes you out the door.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

thanks girls
thanks for your message. Ok, so I do not need to worry about seeing her next wednesday. Yes, I had a very good impression when I visited her last time but since I saw her once and when I searched for gynocologist list, I couldn't find her name so I was a bit worried.
By the way, I tried to make a reservation with Dr. Patrick Chan since he is quite famous in Hk but he is fully booked till end of July. Other moms were saying that he is very good at scanning. Is Dr. Tsui is as good as Dr. Chan, you think?
Thanks!

I agree with hkcic. She doesn't rush you at the appointment and she took the time to reply to a non-urgent email question in detail for me. She is very understanding and supportive of my wish for the most natural birth possible. She is 100 times better than the very first OB I saw (not at that practice).
tiamochris - don't bother with trying to book a 'famous' OB just for a scan! A good OB will be able to do that for you and at the end of the day it's really only vital for the 20 week check. Beyond that a normal pregnancy doesn't need numerous scans done (though Dr Tsui will do one each appt if you want her to). BTW Dr William So at the same practice apparently specialises in scans.

She also gave me scans at every appointment. I appreciated how she would walk me through the scans telling me what she was checking, what we were looking at, etc. We got many 3D scans and video scans as well, which came as a surprise to some of my other friends who gave birth in HK. Apparently, not everyone provides video scans?? She always made time for me to come in for a last minute appointment, if I was sick or whatever. Not to mention, she delivered my baby when SHE was 8 months pregnant!

Thanks girls!
Thanks for your reply!
It was very helpful. I started to like Dr. Tsui. I just went to see her this afternoon and she was so comprehensive and patient. So, I am going to stay with her till the end of my pregnancy.
