The short answer is no. Babies born in HK to non-Chinese parents don't automatically get an ID or passport. Additionally if you are not a Hong Kong resident (either a perminent resident or here on a visa that permits residency) it is very difficult to have your child in HK as you won't be allowed to travel here and it is unlikely that you will be able to secure a spot at a private hospital for the birth.

if you cannot show chinese decent on atleast one side you cannot get a HK passport. the only exception being allan zeman - father of lkf. and if you are not residing in hk you wont be able to get hkid.

Yep, what they said, unless you or husband are of Chinese descent then it's a definite no to the passport. Even if you and your husband are resident here and have HKID's your children don't get their own HKID till they're older anyway - I think around 11?
And as Elle said unless you're resident you won't be eligible for public healthcare and it's difficult enough for those of us who live here to get into the private hospitals (!) so it won't necessarily be easy just to pop over and have a baby here.

unfortunately the others posters are right - it will be very difficult for you to secure a place in HK - you would definitely have to go private, confirm your OBGYN and hopefully they will be able to find you a room in HK hospital to deliver. it's very hard to get space these days...
