I'm a little speechless here...being fired for maybe having a cold sore at some point??? Practicing good hygiene should be the priority here. I'm all for health screening but this is an extreme case.

If that makes you speechless, what do you think of this:
I found my daughter's picture at my home on the web!!! What shall I do??
    and this:
I found my daughter's picture at my home on the web!!! What shall I do??

When it somes to kids, some parents dont want to take *any* chances, no matter how minute. I wonder how they relax at all.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I have heard some unpleasant stories from friends and most of the time personal hygiene is not a given unless you are very lucky with a good helper. Carang, sorry to hear what happened to you. Agree about getting a full body check up on ourselves. Hubby and I did an extensive one and we are ok.

Just today my Helper told me, her friend got fired after just working for 3 days because she had a hangnail. The employer took her the doctor, who said it was a fungal infection and the employer panicked ---> fired her.

personal hygiene an issue? if it is, address it with your helper. lead by example.

like i said, if you are going to react this way, you will find very quickly that you are raising your child in a bubble, which is a terrible way to live, for yourself but especially for your child.

80% of the entire US population is positive for herpes simplex. if you take proper precautions, your baby will be fine.
