stroller for newborn. can I use this one
Hi All,
I have a 2 weeks old kid and this stoller which I used for my 4 years old and is still in a very good condition. It reclines to about 45 degrees.

I am a bit uncomfortable to put my newborn in this one. I fear she would just slide. Has anyone experienced using similar MClaren strollers for their newborns?
Or do I have to buy a new stroller where she can lie flat?
Please let me know. thans!

its called Mclaren Techno XT and they say its appropriate from Birth (on the website)
however I am still not too sure about how to secure a 2-3 weeks old infant in their and its still quite big for her
any additional accessories which you think I can use?

Newborns need to lie flat. I'm not sure why the stroller would say it's from newborn if it only reclines 45 degrees. Most appropriate strollers lie down 170-180 degrees. I wold get a new one, a small one maybe a combi. Then when your baby is bigger you can use the maclaren.

Yep, we used the Maclaren Techno XT w/my first son right from birth - we love it! We just added the infant head support in it and a cushion for him in the early months. Worked perfectly!

Check the side of the stroller, it should say if it is a techno/quest/etc. The techno DOES recline fully and is suitable from birth, but if yours does not recline fully, it may be the quest instead. The quest, I believe, is suitable from about 3 months once the baby has better head control and can handle being reclined. If you don't want to get a new stroller, you could use a baby carrier for those first couple of months until your baby's head control improves...
