Hi! Anyone has experience ordering ka mei chicken online? Which website did you use? And is ka mei chicken organic or just free-range? Thanks!!

It's a type of chicken which is bred here I think. It's supposed to be a canadian-American hybrid breed and either organic or free range. Some people get it for confinement or cancer patients..of course you can have it everyday if you like and don't mind the cost. Heard about it from a local. She gets hers from the north point market I think. It's kinda far for me. But I understand you can order it online. I tried googling but found nothing much.

I get it all the time in my local wet market. It is cheap too at $38 for a hen but $98 for rooster. I don't know if it is organic or free range but I think is neither.

The live ones should be over $100 per head. The "dead" ones are cheaper, they are usually killed the day before from the left over since stalls are not allowed to keep livestocks overnight.
