HKID card for infant

    Is it stated on the sticker who the parents are? I noticed when I didn't show the birth certificate abroad while I travelled alone with my son, but just his passport, they still asked for it because he has his father's last name. Just to make sure we are related, I guess.

    No the sticker doesn't include the parents name, only the child's and confirms their eligibility for permanent id. This is for HK immigration, entering and departing HK. I carry a copy of my son's birth certificate when travelling as we don't have the same last name, but I've never had to show it. Some airlines do ask when checking in.
