    HKID card for infant

Hello everybody, Id like to know whether it's sufficient to show my baby's HK birth cert (stating 'established') at the HKIA immigration. She hasn't got any sticker in her passport nor HKID. TIA

Yes, the HK birth certificate is enough for immigration, regardless of her passport nationality.

I would go get the sticker at immigration. It's fairly painless. Every time we went through immigration the officer would remind us to do it.

i travelled with my son's birth certificate and passport for the first 2 times and realised that it takes up more time to get through the immigration control post. the first time, the immigration officer took atleast 5 minutes to figure out the birth certificate although i showed her that it says "established" at the end. guess she didn't trust me (?) so she had to call another officer to confirm zzzzzz

after the second time, i applied for the immigration sticker and things have gone more smoothly at the immigration control post. also, not carrying the birth certificate is less one thing to worry about when you're travelling and abroad :)

How do you go about applying for a sticker? I've been traveling w my son's birth cert as well, and I agree it's a pain.
