Hi loveisgood. Yes, it is draining indeed. As EYM said though, stay positive as I'm sure it will happen for you eventually. Just sometimes takes a long time, which is hard.

In answer to your question, I found both Dr Lo and Dr Doo to be very nice and consistent in their approaches (though different approaches). Dr Doo seemed more progressive to me in many ways, and the first consultation was a lot more informative than it ever was with Dr Lo, though this might be because I had been through the process several times so knew what to ask.

Not sure I'm interpreting your meaning of 'personal' as you intend it, but to be honest, I found both of them lacking in real personal touch. They're both good when you're talking to them, but they have so many patients that they lose touch of you as an individual I think. One of the reasons I wanted to leave Dr Lo was because he never seemed to remember my history with him - even asking me on embryo transfer day 'how many embryos are we putting in today?' when I only had one left. I wasn't impressed that he couldn't even be bothered to read my notes beforehand. Overall, the need for me to constantly remind him of my history, made me feel that he wasn't really tailoring fertility solutions to my individual problems, but was just applying blanket solutions. Similar with Dr Doo though really, and I think it's probably a very common factor for most doctors here because they are so busy with so many people.

Yeah have heard of Derek Lo, waiting time and prices both sound reasonable, planning to make few calls today.
I am assuming you switched to Dr. Lo from another doctor, do you mind sharing which doctor you were seeing prior?
    Thank you!
No he is my first and only fertility doctor. Haven't felt the need to switch as I have just started seeing him a few months ago. And so far, he hasn't given me any reasons to jump ship yet. Lol. We'll see how things go with him first.

    Hello hoochie,
    Thanks again for your info!
How are you going so far with him? Any news?
I heard Dr. Philip Ho is a good fertility doctor too, anyone with recent experiences?

I'm with Dr. Lo as well.. Had 2 failed iui's but prior to that he told us that the chances are very slim.. He then suggested to proceed with ivf than wasting time and money with another iui.. We we're supposed to do the ivf with him but then my husband suddenly need to be in Thailand for business for 2 months so we decided to do it there. Aldo to stay awayfrom stressful life of HK.. Dr. Lo helped us with all the tests even we were not
    doing the procedure with him..

And i am now just waiting for my delivery.. When we we're back in HK, he still remains my OB..

I know someone who had failed iui's and ivf's with Dr. Philip Ho. And they were never told the reason why it fails, nor he doesn't have the emotional support..

    Hello prettynvain,
Thanks for your info, I wish I was waiting for delivery too! :)
Not only I read so many positive note on Dr. Phillip Ho, he was a friends OBGY who said he was TOPS. Then I also hear many others commenting the opposite on his bedside manner. I am now again in my 2ww so kind of taking it easy and hoping time will fly by soon. Is there anyone who's on the same boat or recent IUI stories to share?
    Anyway, good luck everyone!
