I used mummies and bellies, and found it quite effective. I found the lady who did the massage used a bit more force than I was comfortable with so I insisted on less, and she did oblige. I think they also feel pressured to get results and I guess the results are better with a forceful massage.

I did find pretty good results, but it would be better to do a bit of exercise to keep up the results and not go on a complete binge like I did.

I am due end march 2014 and am toying with the idea of flying in a Malay post natal masseur. Crazy I know but for my first pregnancy I had my postnatal massage in HK and (2 months later) in Singapore. Not only was it cheaper in Singapore the massage was much much more effective. I've of course lost the contact number of the malay lady (that was years ago) so I am wondering if anyone has contacts of such masseurs, any idea how much it will cost to fly them in/ put them up etc.

I know a local Indian masseuse who is great. She does mummy and baby massage. You can get the Jamu and binding wraps from Sing/Malay. Let me know if you would like her number. Perhaps try a prenatal massage and see if you like her.
