I took folic acid, prune extract, coconut oil, omega 3-6-9 and flax seed oil and drank fresh whole milk. Heard powdered milk isn't that great because of added sugar.

Loveisgood, ya it's loaded with fat and sugar. And when you can get fresh milk, why you need milk powder? ;)

The only thing I hear is high in fat and sugar.

    Thanks everyone for your replies.

    Hi Joey,
I am in my last month of pregnancy and gained approx. 8kg so far. That's why my OB suggested I can try adding a glass of maternal powder each day so I can put little more weigh/fat on his month. I do take my prenatal vitamins and also drinking fresh milk..lets hope for the best!

I've never heard of someone being told to try to gain fat during pregnancy. It's the babies weight that is the issue.

    Hi Aquarian,
Maybe I wasn't clear, the baby is also little small for its date.

I got my Materna for free from Tsan Yuk. I think you can request it from the doctor but they won't give you the full bottle. Just the amount which the doctor thinks is enough for your condition.
