Yes I know what you mean. Hang on in there - I'm hoping the nauseau/puking and the fatigue ends soon! Just heard a horror story of a friend who had morning sickness till her fifth month. Let's hope we will be spared that.

My prenatal supplement was making my nausea unbearable. Spent all weekend in bed, stopped taking it and now the nausea is back an a manageable level. Hope I can find a low iron one to take instead.
Anyone know of a low iron or iron free supplement? (I was taking materna)

Hi kej182,
Unless you're deficient in something, the only essential supplement is folate, in the first 3mo. Everything else you can get from good nutrition.

As I'm vegetarian I'm likely deficient in a lot of things as my husband likes to keep telling me, so I want to take something to give myself a boost, especially as eating is not something I enjoy right now.

What was the level of iron in your previous supplement? I'm now taking New Chapter which contains 18mg for each serving of three tablets. I'm feeling nauseous too but am not sure if it's due to the iron. I wasn't feeling so bad during previous pregnancies when I was on it.

The materna one has 60mg per tab. Which is pretty high I think.

Try New Chapter then? It delivers to HK.
