How to book hospitals?
I'm w5 and even though I'm originally from HK I don't work there anymore. I plan to go back to HK to give birth and am very confused about doctors and hospitals. I want to go to either Sanitorium or Canossa, but I've been told that I don't book with them directly but through the doctor. Is that correct? Will it be too late if I can't see a doctor in HK until week 9 at least? Any help much appreciated!

Hello to get a booking at the private hospital, you need to find an GP or OBGYN to firstly do a blood test to confirm your pregnancy. Once you have made a booking with a private OBGYN he can then book you a place at either Sanatorium/ Canossa. You will need to check that your chosen OBGYN has hospital rights to deliver at either Sanatorium/ Canossa.

You can't book it directly.
I booked Canossa with my OBGYN at week 36 with a deposit of hk$20k and did c-section at week 37. (Semi-private room). Canossa is not as popular as Sanatorium, so it's easier to book. I had a very good stay there at Canossa.
I heard Canossa is more expensive than Sanatorium tho. Good luck.
